The Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau signed a cooperation agreement

At the invitation of the Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau, the director of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine paid a visit to Poland. The heads of the anti-corruption services signed an amendment to the cooperation agreement between the CBA and NABU.

At the invitation of the Head of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, Andrzej Stróżny, on June 19-20, 2023, Semen Kryvonos - director of the National Anticorruption Bureau of Ukraine and Gizo Uglava - first deputy director, together with representatives of senior management, visited Poland. One of the most important elements of the NABU delegation's visit to Poland was the signing of an amendment to the cooperation agreement between the CBA and NABU, which was concluded in 2016.

The amendment to the document is related to the current geopolitical situation in Ukraine and the need to take joint actions to identify, combat and counteract abuses in the implementation of joint economic projects, with particular emphasis on projects related to the reconstruction of Ukraine from war damage.

The parties to the agreement committed to mutual cooperation both in the area of combating corruption crime and to mutual support in the field of training, exchange of experience and knowledge, development of methods and technologies that are necessary to increase the potential of the anti-corruption services of both countries.

The agreement also assumes the promotion of educational activities and building social awareness of the negative financial and economic consequences of corruption crime.
