21st International Anti-Corruption Conference
The largest International Anti-Corruption Conference, held in Vilnius, has finished, bringing together more than 2,000 participants from 140 countries. The event was attended by experts and representatives of anti-corruption services and institutions. The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau was represented by the Deputy Head of the CBA, Dariusz Drozdowski.
From 19-21 June 2024, the 21st International Anti-Corruption Conference (IACC) held in Vilnius was titled ‘Confronting Global Threats: Standing Up for Integrity’. Among the guests were experts, legislators, representatives of academia and anti-corruption services from around the world, as well as delegates from international organisations, including OLAF, the European Commission and Europol. The event served as a platform for the exchange of experiences and best practices in anti-corruption. The main themes were countering global threats, supporting the fight for rights and building a united and secure future.
The conference was also attended by a delegation from the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, led by the Deputy Head of the CBA, Dariusz Drozdowski. The Minister was a speaker at the first ever IACC meeting of anti-corruption body executives from around the world. It was an opportunity to discuss key issues related to the fight against corruption by law enforcement authorities, public administration, civil society and the private sector.
During the IACC 2024, the Deputy Head of the CBA, together with representatives of the CBA, held a number of meetings with foreign partners, including the leadership of the Lithuanian STT special investigation service, the Chair of the International Anti-Corruption Forum (IACC) Rueben Lifuka, and representatives from Italy, the United States, Latvia, Estonia and Papua New Guinea.
All sessions and discussions at this year’s conference were aimed at strengthening global cooperation and the exchange of information between anti-corruption authorities, which is the key to fighting effectively against corruption around the world.
