Searches at the Unia Tarnów Speedway Company
Officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau secured documents and data storage devices at the headquarters of Unia Tarnów Żużlowa Spółka Sportowa S.A. The investigation into failure to fulfil duties and causing damage of significant magnitude is being supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office in Tarnów. The investigation is ongoing.
On 17 February 2026, acting on the order of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Tarnów, officers from the Regional Office of the CBA in Kraków conducted searches at the headquarters of Unia Tarnów Żużlowa Spółka Sportowa S.A. Activities were also carried out at a dozen other locations in the Małopolskie and Podkarpackie provinces, including cooperating entities and the residences of individuals associated with the company.
As a result of the searches, documentation, devices, and data storage media that may constitute evidence in the case were secured. The activities were conducted with the support of officers from the Regional Offices of the CBA in Katowice, Rzeszów, and Wrocław.
Scope of the Investigation
The preparatory proceedings concern suspected failure to fulfil duties between 2019 and 2025 by individuals representing the company, particularly with regard to securing and enforcing receivables arising from loans granted to the Tarnowskie Towarzystwo Żużlowe Association. The failure to undertake actions aimed at effectively recovering these receivables resulted in financial damage of significant magnitude, amounting to more than PLN 1.6 million.
