Well-known yacht captain detained for corruption
CBA agents from Szczecin detained a yacht captain. He has been already charged with corruption offence. Thanks to bribery he wanted to get a positive decision on sponsoring his participation in ocean races.
Agents of the Regional Office of the CBA in Szczecin detained a yacht captain - the owner of one of the biggest and fastest yachts in Western Pomerania. The detained sailor for favorable for him decision and sponsoring - by a State Treasury company - his participation in the famous Pacific Ocean races, offered a financial benefit in the form of money. CBA agents have determined that in this way he wanted to get 235,000. zł.
The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin charged the man with managerial bribery (art. 296a § 2 of the Penal Code in connection with art. 12 of the Penal Code) for his promise to provide financial benefits, while using additional preventive measures - surveillance and bail.
