Former director of the Museum of the Second World War, Mr Paweł Machcewicz twice did not take the calls to appear as a witness at the prosecutor's office; he did not turn up to the District Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk.
The Gdańsk Regional Prosecutor's Office in writing instructed the officers of the Central Anticorruption Bureau from Gdansk to determine whether the man was staying at the Warsaw address - to which were addressed monitions and were delivered summonses to Mr. Machcewicz - to appear as a witness to the Prosecutor's Office.
The officers of the Central Anticorruption Bureau from Regional Office in Gdańsk on November 28, 2017 performed activities in other proceedings in Warsaw and, while performing the order of the prosecutor's office, they were also in the apartment of Mr Paweł Machcewicz. They did not find the witness, they left information to the family asking for contact with the CBA after he returns.
These are standard, everyday activities of every service, officers performing their duties.
