5 detainees on corruption for over 1 million PLN
The CBA agents from the Regional Office in Cracow detained the founder and president of a significant investor in the real estate market, a board member of the developer, the president of the board of Małopolskie Dworce Autobusowe (bus station), the vice-president of the management board of the Małopolska foundation and a businessman. The CBA investigation concerns financial benefits for 1 million 170 thousand zł.
The Cracow Regional Office of the CBA, as a result of its own operational work conducted for over a year, collected evidence that justifies the entry of the ad personam phase into two large-scale corruption threads.
The Regional Office of the Central Anticorruption Bureau in Cracow, based on the collected materials, conducts an investigation into undertaking in November 2015 / December 2016 mediation in settling matters in exchange for financial benefits and invoking influences in state and local-government institutions of the Małopolska province and granting financial benefits to persons performing public functions in connection with these functions.
The investigation of the CBA, in these two threads, concerns financial benefits in total for the amount of 1 170 000 PLN.
The CBA agents detained today in the Małopolska province Grzegorz K. the vice president of the foundation board, in Cracow Marcin F. the president of the board of Małopolskie Dworce Autobusowe and businessman Grzegorz F., and in Warsaw a board member of developer Mikołaj M. and businessman Przemysław K. the founder, president of a significant investor on the real estate market, managing an international investment funds in a developer company.
The CBA officers are securing documents and electronic data in nearly 40 places - apartments, companies and offices in Warsaw, Kielce and the Małopolskie province.
