President of Tarnobrzeg detained
Agents from the CBA's Regional Office in Rzeszów detained on Wednesday "red-handed" the President of Tarnobrzeg - shortly after he accepted a 20 thousand PLN bribe. This entire amount was disclosed and secured during a search in his official office.
The CBA agents conducting the case determined, that the President of the City Grzegorz K. in return for a financial benefit was to issue a positive decision related to the zoning conditions in the city. The Bureau's officers searched rooms in the Tarnobrzeg City Hall and Grzegorz K.'s apartment. People who could be related to the case were interrogated, documents were secured.
Today, the materials collected by the CBA were transferred to the Mazovian Department of the National Public Prosecutor's Office. Detained by Rzeszów agents of the Central Anticorruption Bureau, the President Tarnobrzeg will be charged with corruption.
