They cheated farmers at the tenders concerning land. 7 detainees
Detention in the investigation of the Poznań CBA Regional Office regarding the group's activities, which hindered tenders for agricultural land. For the resignation from participation in the auction they demanded tens of thousands of zlotys.
The activities of CBA agents led to the determination of another 7 people who, acting jointly and in agreement, committed offenses under this procedure. The suspects were detained by the CBA in the Wielkopolskie, Lubuskie and Dolnośląskie voivodships.
The Regional Office of the CBA in Poznań, under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Konin, conducts an investigation concerning the group's activities, which, in order to obtain financial benefits, hampered tenders and bailiffs' auctions for the purchase or lease of land. The members of the group tried to make themselves credible by paying the bid bond, and later under pressure to hinder the tender - the artificial price shill - they demanded money from the most interested in land in exchange for their resignation from participation in the auction.
The findings of the CBA indicate, that the group has been conducting its activities at least since 2015. The aggrieved were mainly farmers, who hitherto had leased land that was being put out again in the tender, or those who wanted to develop the farm.
The perpetrators' financial demands amounted to PLN 20,000 each. The victims, who really cared for the land, misled by fraudsters, paid.
The first detentions took place in 2016. The CBA agents have already detained Krzysztof Z. and Ryszard R. who demanded 20,000 PLN in one of the towns in Wielkopolska - from the actual bidder in exchange for withdrawing from bidding for nearly 40 ha of agricultural land. The men had been charged by the prosecutor's office. As a result of a search at detainees', the CBA officers revealed several thousand pages of printouts of tenders for the sale or lease of real estate and several hundred proofs of payment of bid bond in bids and real estate bills and car ownerships, which gave grounds for further activities of the Bureau's agents.
The proceeding is conducted by the Poznań Regional Office of the CBA under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Konin. Further detentions are not ruled out.
