Bribe - caught red-handed. He was to have influence in the National Tax Administration (KAS)
Agents from the Rzeszów Regional Office of the CBA caught red-handed while accepting a bribe in the amount of 50,000 zł a businessman - an adviser from Sandomierz. It was half of the amount (first installment) which he demanded for his favors. Detention is an effect of a special operation. Agents jumped into action in one of the Warsaw hotels. The man did not expect such a turn of events and decisive action by the CBA officers. A moment after he took the cash, he was already in the hands of the Bureau's agents.
The findings of the CBA in Rzeszów indicate that the man invoked influences in KAS, and for the money he was supposed to arrange a return payment of about half a million zlotys of undue VAT.
The collected materials will be transferred to the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, where the detained by the CBA will be charged.
The activities are ongoing and the case is developmental, further topics will be investigated regarding possible VAT extortion.
