GetBack case - president of the Polish Brokerage House detained
The agents of the Warsaw CBA Regional Office detained one of the directors at GetBack SA and the president of the board of the Polski Dom Maklerski (Polish Brokerage House). This is another operation in the investigation of broadly understood irregularities in the functioning of the GetBack SA capital group.
The investigation conducted by the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw concerns, among others, causing damage to property in large sizes in the course of trade to the detriment of GetBack SA company, siphoning money from the company in order to achieve personal gain and to conceal evidence. The case also includes crimes of manipulation of financial instruments and public disclosure of untruths about the company's activities.
The CBA agents searched Warsaw detainees' apartments, they are securing evidence at the headquarters of the Polish Brokerage House and at the headquarters of other companies of the detained president.
Earlier, the CBA investigators worked intensively in this investigation - they interviewed a total of several dozen people - including the officials of the Polish Financial Supervision Authority and GetBack SA, they secured volumes of documentation and electronic data.
On June 16, they were detained by agents from the Warsaw Regional Office of the CBA at Chopin Airport, Konrad K. - former President of the Board of GetBack S.A. and in his home in Warsaw Ursynów Piotr B. - representative of an economic entity who cooperated with the former President of the Board of GetBack S.A. Both persons detained by the CBA by court decision were temporarily arrested.
Former president of GetBack SA. Konrad K. was charged with, among other things: attempting to bring the Polish Development Fund to S.A. to an unfavorable regulation of its property, by misleading about the actual financial condition of GetBack SA and submitting unreliable documents for GetBack S.A. loans in the amount of 250 million zł and causing GetBack S.A. property damage of over 15 million zł on the basis of not implemented but paid off, apparent contracts for the provision of consulting and marketing services concerning the issuance of bonds and cooperation. Another allegation concerns a similar nature, an amount of at least 7 million zł and a contract "for the provision of services in the field of security in business". Detained by the CBA - Piotr B. heard accusations regarding this agreement and acting in order to obtain financial benefits. The former president of GetBack SA also heard the allegations of crimes concerning the public dissemination of false data in the current report of the company that could be misleading as to the value of financial instruments issued by GetBack S.A. company, against the prohibition of such manipulations on the market.
