The CBA detained another person to the Warsaw re-privatization case
Agents from the Warsaw Regional Office of the Central Anticorruption Bureau detained Marek M., the buyer of claims. The man, as a result of fraud, became the owner of claims for two properties in Warsaw - a plot of land and a tenement worth millions of zlotys. The officers searched several addresses in Warsaw, where they secured documents that could provide evidence in the case.
The CBA regarding irregularities at Warsaw re-privatisation carries out dozens of investigations regarding nearly 200 addresses - most of them are valuable, multi-million value parcels and tenements.
The first detentions took place last year. In January, the officers of the Warsaw Regional Office of the CBA detained 5 persons, and in February another 3. Among the detainees were, among other: officials, attorney Robert N. and former deputy director of the Real Estate Office of the Municipal Office of Warsaw, Jakub R. and the parents of the official - Wojciech R. and Alina D. In the middle of May, the agents detained another 8 people, about whom we write above. On October 9, the agents of the Warsaw Regional Office of the CBA detained three more persons: the former official from the Ministry of Justice Marzena K., former dean of the District Bar Council Grzegorz M. and businessman Janusz P. The detentions were carried out in an investigation supervised by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław, conducted, among others, in connection with the re-privatization of a plot worth about 160 million zł located right next to the Palace of Culture. Most of the detainees caught by the CBA by the court went to custody.
The list of detainees detained by the CBA and the list of prosecution charges is not closed, the investigators are constantly working on the evidence collected. New threads are also being investigated.
At the end of last year agents of the Central Anticorruption Bureau have entered 20 apartments and companies - in Warsaw, Gdańsk and Kielce, and secured evidence in investigations regarding the reactivation of 40 pre-war companies and multi-million claims to the detriment of the State Treasury.
