The Head of the CBA at European Police Chiefs Convention

On September 24-25, Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau took part in the European Police Chiefs Convention. The meeting was held at the headquarters of EUROPOL in the Hague. Co-host of this year's convention was the Italian Presidency.

The convention was attended by ministers and chiefs of European police and representatives of law enforcement authorities of the Member States of the EU. This year Poland was represented by the Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau, the Chief Commander of the Police and representatives of the Internal Security Agency and the Customs Service.


The objectives of the conference  were to exchange experiences and conduct dialogue between the representatives of senior management of all services and law enforcement agencies cooperating within the framework the EUROPOL. The main purpose of the meetings was to discuss the existing cooperation in preventing and combating organized international crime, as well as the possibility of its improvement.


This year, the main subjects of the discussion concerned topics related to economic crime, cybercrime, illegal immigration and terrorism.


The Head of the CBA, as one of the invited guests, also participated in the ceremony associated with the celebration of 95 anniversary of establishment of the Polish police. The meeting was held on 25 September 2014, in the Polish Embassy in the Hague.
