Kick-off Conference (S4ACA)
From 25 to 27 February 2015 in Krakow was held International Conference inaugurating the project SIENA for Anticorruption Authorities (S4ACA).
Central Anticorruption Bureau (CBA), together with the Austrian Federal Bureau of Anti-Corruption (BAK), and an associate partner - Europol, implements the project "SIENA for Anticorruption Authorities (S4ACA)" co-financed from the EU Programme "Prevention of and Fight against Crime 2007-2013" (ISEC) .
The conference wich was held in Krakow was opened together by Head of the CBA Paweł Wojtunik, Director of BAK Andreas Wiselthaler and representative of Europol Igor Angelini.
The meeting was attended by 60 representatives of anti-corruption institutions from Poland, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Netherlands, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Sweden , Switzerland, United Kingdom.
The main objective of Kick-Off-Conference is to raise awareness about the need of secure exchange of data and information among anti-corruption bodies. During the conference, the S4ACA ideas were presented (main objectives, course, aims indicated in the project). Moreover SIENA was presented as a communication channel for operational data and Europol Platform for Experts (EPE) as a communication channel for non-operational data.
An important purpose of the meeting was to share information on the characteristics and functions of SIENA and the requirements needed for connection (technical, legal, institutional).
