The CBA inspection in Strzyżów ended - filing of a notification at the prosecutor’s office
From 3 June 2019 to 28 February 2020, the officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Rzeszów conducted an inspection at the Municipal Office in Strzyżów. The inspection pertained to “the granting of reliefs to selected natural and legal persons in the payment of outstanding property and agricultural taxes by the Mayor of Strzyżów in the years 2012-2018.”
The inspection aimed to examine the procedures for granting reliefs in the payment of outstanding property and agricultural taxes to taxpayers.
In the course of the activities, it was established that during the tax remission at the Municipal Office in Strzyżów there could have occurred numerous violations of the provisions of the Tax Ordinance, which could have caused damage to the assets of the Municipality of Strzyżów for a total amount over PLN 250 000.
On 24 April 2020, the Bureau’s inspection ended with filing a notification of suspected criminal offences to the detriment of the Municipal Office in Strzyżów at the District Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszów.
