New aspects of acting to the detriment of the Chemical Plants JSC in Police
On the grounds of the evidence secured in July 2020, new facets have appeared in the multi-threaded investigation, conducted by the CBA Regional Office in Szczecin, under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Szczecin, into a fraud to the detriment of the Chemical Plants JSC in Police, amounting to more than PLN 87 million, committed in the course of the conclusion and execution of the contract for the sale of shares in the Senegalese company - the African Investment Group JSC.
As a result, yesterday, the CBA officers carried out searches at the premises of the economic entities, public institutions, and in the residences of the individuals involved.
The activities were carried out in the Municipal Office of Szczecin, the Prawobrzeże Social Construction Association, the Department of Public Utilities and Housing in Police, and John Paul II's Medical Institute based in Szczecin.
The above mentioned activities were conducted as part of investigation threads in which charges have not yet been presented. The incidents of the investigators’ interest are not directly associated with the main thread of the investigation, i.e. the purchase of the shares in the African Investment Group JSC.
Extensive evidence has been gathered in the course of the investigation, including electronic storage media, which will be subjected to extensive examination and analysis.
Further procedural activities are being planned in connection with the ongoing investigation.
