Investigation of Sławomir N. New detentions
Three persons, including former president of the Polish fuel and energy company Dariusz K. and former member of the management board of energy companies Wojciech T., have been detained by the CBA officers of the Regional Office in Gdańsk, in connection with the proceedings against the former Minister of Transport Sławomir N.
The activities are related to the investigation conducted jointly with the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw against Sławomir N. and other individuals suspected of corruption offences and participation in criminal activities of an organised crime group. After the searches are completed, the detainees will be taken to the Prosecutor's Office, where they will hear charges of active bribery, related to the suspicion of giving several hundred thousand zlotys of financial advantages to Sławomir N. in exchange for his assistance in matters related to their taking up lucrative positions.
The investigation has been conducted simultaneously by the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau and the District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw, as well as the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in Kiev and the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine.
The proceedings are developing, the evidence is being collected and analysed all the time.
