Purchase of buses in Białystok under CBA control

On 22 October 2020, the officers of the Department of Control Proceedings of the CBA Regional Office in Białystok, initiated an inspection titled "Control of the specified by law procedures for taking and implementing decisions on awarding a public contract in 2018 titled Delivery of 18 buses, within the project: Improving accessibility of the centre of Białystok for urban transport", procedure number: BKM-I.271.31.2017, organised by the Municipality of Białystok.

The inspection concerns a public contract worth PLN 29.8 million gross for the delivery of 18 low-floor, two- and three-axle diesel-fuelled city buses, co-funded by the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development (PARP) as part of the contract, signed with the Municipality of Białystok, for co-financing of the project "Improving accessibility of the centre of Białystok for urban transport", under the Operational Programme Eastern Poland 2014-2020, Priority Axis II: Modern Transport Infrastructure, Measure 2.1 Sustainable urban transport.

Only one bidder submitted its offer, with which the Municipality of Białystok signed the contract for the delivery of vehicles.

Within the framework of the commenced control, the CBA officers will examine the accuracy of the decisions taken by the Municipality Office of Białystok in the field of the Public Procurement Law and the Act on Liability for Violation of Public Finance Discipline.
