Closing Conference of the Project „Rising of Anticorruption Training System”

This week was held Closing Conference of anticorruption training events

In reference to the International Anti-Corruption Day celebrated on 9th December, the Central Anticorruption Bureau has organized another conference held to commemorate this day, and thus to increase public awareness of the problem of corruption.

The main aim of the last meeting was to summarize the project, including 6 thematic conferences and the results of created anticorruption e-learning platform.

Under the program “Prevention and Fight against Crime” (ISEC) the European Commission has granted the CBA, as the beneficiary of the project funds for the implementation of "Rising of Anticorruption Training System". Co-beneficiary of the project is the Special Investigation Service of the Republic of Lithuania (STT) and project partner is the Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau of the Republic of Latvia (KNAB).

The Closing Conference was attended by Heads and representatives law enforcement agencies of the countries participating in the previous 6 training conferences of the project.

Among the invited participants were representatives from Austria, Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, Latvia, Moldova, Romania, Slovenia and Ukraine.

The result of the project was the signing of cooperation agreement between the Moldovan anticorruption authority - National Anticorruption Centre (NAC) and the Latvian - Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau (KNAB).
