Almost PLN 400 thousand must be returned by the Municipality of Środa Śląska. It is a result of an inspection by the CBA Regional Office in Wrocław
Precisely PLN 384,836.76 is the financial correction imposed on 21 January 2021 by the Managing Authority of the 2014-2020 Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodship in connection with the notification submitted after the control by the CBA Regional Office in Wrocław.
From 19 December 2018 to 18 September 2019, the Control Proceedings Department of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Wrocław conducted an inspection of the revitalisation of the Lower Market in the Municipality of Środa Śląska in the years 2016-2018. In the course of the control, it was found that the municipality had made unauthorised amendments to the contracts concluded for construction works and investor supervision, which violated the provisions of the Public Procurement Law and the Public Finance Act.
All irregularities revealed in the investigation were reported by the Bureau officers to the competent authorities.
As a result, on 21 January 2021, the Managing Authority of the 2014-2020 Regional Operational Programme for the Lower Silesian Voivodship imposed a financial correction of PLN 384,836.76 on the Municipality of Środa Śląska. This amount must be returned by the municipality to the Managing Authority of the Programme.
The Bureau informed about the commencement of the inspection in its press release of 19 January 2019.
