Corruption in Kraków's magistrate
CBA has detained an employee of the Kraków City Hall.
Executing a decision of the prosecutor of the Military Affairs Division of the District Prosecutor's Office in Krakow, the officers of the CBA Regional Office in Kraków detained an employee of the Krakow City Hall on suspicion of having committed corruption offences in the years 2019-2020, including accepting financial gains in connection with the performance of his public function. The corrupt practice concerned the Kraków magistrate's cooperation with the 6th Airborne Brigade in Kraków.
It is a continuation of the detentions in the case of corruption in the 6th Command Battalion in Kraków. So far, the prosecutor of the District Prosecutor's Office in Kraków has brought charges against 24 soldiers. The court applied a preventive measure in the form of temporary custody against two soldiers.
Due to the developing and dynamic nature of the investigation and corruption motifs appearing in it, further actions in the case are not excluded.
