Fraudulent asset declarations and acting to the detriment of the Chancellery of the Sejm. Former MP detained
The officers of the CBA Regional Office in Białystok have detained a former deputy to the Sejm. The activities are connected with a new investigation conducted by the unit under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Ostrołęka.
The woman was detained this morning in Warsaw. All findings indicate that in the years 2016-2019, as a Deputy to the Sejm of the Republic of Poland and a person managing a municipal legal entity, she submitted inaccurate asset declarations. The investigators' findings indicate that she failed to disclose, among other things, financial liabilities and movable property in her possession exceeding the value of PLN 10 thousand.
The evidence gathered in the case also indicates that she acted to the detriment of the Chancellery of the Sejm by appropriating funds entrusted to her, allocated for the operation of the MP's office, including staff salaries, in the total amount of approximately PLN 320 thousand.
Upon the completion of a search conducted in the place of residence of the detained person, she will be transported to the prosecutor's office, where she will be subjected to further procedural activities.
