Bill of indictment against the former mayor of Pułtusk
The Regional Prosecutor's Office in Białystok filed a bill of indictment against the former director of the School Complex of the Agricultural Education Centre named after Jadwiga Dziubińska in Golądków and the Mayor of Pułtusk, Krzysztof N. The investigation into this case has been conducted by the officers of the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw.
The prosecutor has charged the accused with taking a number of activities to the detriment of the School Complex in Golądków and the Municipality of Pułtusk in the period when he held public office, as well as corruption offences in connection with the execution of public tenders.
In the multithreaded investigation conducted by the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw, Krzysztof N. heard over a dozen charges, including acceptance of financial advantages of significant value in connection with the performance of a public function, failure to fulfil duties and abuse of powers for financial gain, causing large-scale damage to the economy, submitting false statements, as well as frauds to the detriment of the State Treasury.
The irregularities found by the investigators concern investments and projects carried out in the area of the Pułtusk Municipality in the years 2009-2016, i.e. reconstruction and renovation of school buildings and dormitory of the Complex of Schools of Agricultural Training Centre in Golądków for about 400 thousand PLN, the execution of a project supported by the European Union with damage to the property of the State Treasury in the amount of about 2.2 million PLN and the construction of a municipal nursery in Pułtusk.
Moreover, the investigators accuse Krzysztof N. of causing material damage to the property of Pułtuskie Przedsiębiorstwo Usług Komunalnych Sp. z o.o. (Municipal Utilities Company) with the registered office in Pultusk in the amount of around 8 million PLN.
