Corrupt practice. Four persons detained by the CBA, including the director of a medical clinic from Wielkopolska
On Monday, officers of the CBA Regional Office in Szczecin detained the director of the Military Specialist Medical Clinic of the Independent Public Health Care Institution in Witków (Wielkopolskie Voivodeship) immediately after he had accepted a financial advantage in exchange for rigging a tender for medical equipment for the clinic. At the same time, the man alleged to have given the financial advantage to the director was detained.
The materials collected by the Bureau's officers have been handed over to the public prosecutor's office, which initiated proceedings in this case and presented corruption charges against the detainees. Further dynamic findings in the case made it possible to detain two more persons involved in the corrupt practice.
The detainees were charged with corruption in the West Pomeranian Local Division of the Department for Organised Crime and Corruption in Szczecin. The court applied a remand in custody to the detained director.
The investigation is developing.
