High-risk bonds - more detainees in the GetBack S.A. case
Officers of the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw searched 10 locations and detained 6 persons - former employees of the bank. The detentions are related to a multi-threaded investigation into irregularities at GetBack S.A. The proceedings are supervised by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
Six detainees
On Tuesday (30 May 2023), officers of the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw detained six persons and served summonses on four persons to appear as suspects. The officers searched 10 locations and secured evidence for the ongoing investigation. The activities were carried out in the Wielkopolskie, Kujawsko-Pomorskie, Zachodniopomorskie and Podlaskie Voivodships. The multi-threaded investigation is supervised by the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
Bonds worth over PLN 10 million
According to the findings of CBA officers, bank employees offered the company's bonds to clients by providing misleading information about the properties and safety of the financial product. The individuals sold the bonds for more than PLN 10 million.
The detainees faced charges at the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw. The prosecutor applied non-custodial preventive measures against them, i.e. police supervision, a ban on leaving the country and property bond.
