Our portal “Without Barriers”

The CBA website is among the best adapted sites for the needs of the disabled, the elderly and the exposed to digital exclusion. We are among the winners of the competition "Website without Barriers".

The competition was organised for the seventh time by Fundacja Widzialni (The Visible Foundation) and the Broad Alliance on Digital Skills in Poland. The participants of the competition were public and non-public entities which adapted their sites to the WCAG 2.0 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) in the best way.

The Deputy Head of the CBA Bogdan Sakowicz collected the distinction for the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau as the administrator of one of the best adapted websites for the needs of the disabled. A special conference “DIGITALLY EXCLUDED” was held at the Column Hall of the Sejm of the Republic of Poland.

The websites were evaluated by a team composed of experts on internet sites and the blind, the visually impaired, and the deaf. The experts checked the compatibility of the sites with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, and the disabled will check i.a. the accessibility of the forms, search engines, menus, and multimedia components. The ease of the website navigation and finding of information as well as the general impression were assessed.
