A modern crime analysis training laboratory is open

On January 31, 2023, a crime analysis laboratory was opened at the Lech Kaczyński Training and Conference Center in Lucień. Its creation is part of the implementation of the project called “Strengthening the competences of law enforcement agencies and judicial institutions in the area of criminal and strategic analysis, supporting the process of identifying, combating and preventing corruption and economic crime” cofinanced by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism. The cost of establishing the studio was covered in 85 percent by Norwegian funds.

The opening ceremony of the studio was attended by the Deputy Head of the CBA, Mr. Daniel Karpeta, prof. Ph.D. Wojciech Filipowski from the University of Białystok, who delivered the inaugural lecture, representatives of the Office of International Police Cooperation of the Police Headquarters and Europol.

In addition to control, operational, legal proceeding and preventive tasks, the CBA also performs analytical activities. Thanks to the most modern laboratory equipment and IT tools, analysts will be able to freely develop their competences both in theory and in practice.
