Managerial bribery in a State Treasury company
Officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Poznań conduct an investigation under the supervision of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zielona Góra. The conducted proceedings concern, among others, accepting material benefits by persons employed in a State Tresasury company in exchange for behavior constituting an act of unfair competition, as well as actions to the detriment of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo based in Warsaw by using unreliable invoices.
Charge of fraud in a public tender to the detriment of Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo S.A.
The evidence collected in the preparatory proceedings shows that the suspect led to the unfavorable disposal of property of significant value to the detriment of the company Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo based in Warsaw by overestimating the value of services as part of the tender procedure.
On November 7, 2023, based on the Prosecutor's decision, officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Poznań detained a man in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. The suspect was taken to the District Prosecutor's Office in Zielona Góra, where he was charged under Art. 286 of the Penal Code in connection with Art. 294 of the Penal Code in connection with Art. 305 of the Penal Code.
Preventive measures implemented
The prosecutor imposed preventive measures against the suspect in the form of a property bond in the amount of PLN 100,000.00.
The investigation is ongoing
This is the third procedural implementation in the ongoing preparatory proceedings. A total of 19 people have already been charged in the investigation. Further detations are possible.
