Another implementation in the matter of GetBack S.A.
Officers of the CBA, assisted by the Central Investigation Bureau of Police (CBŚP), have detained two people in connection with abuse of power. This is the next stage in the investigation into irregularities at GetBack S.A.
On 11 July 2024, at the request of the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, assisted by the Central Investigation Bureau of Police, detained two persons, representatives of Getback’s majority shareholder, one of whom was also a member of the company’s Supervisory Board. They were charged with creating a financial mismanagement for GetBack S.A., which resulted in the entity’s loss of liquidity, which at the same time made it impossible for the company to continue its core business and meet its obligations. As a result, the suspects caused GetBack S.A. large property damage with a total value of no less than PLN 1,378 billion.
During a search of the suspects’ residences, movable property, including works of art, gold coins and cars for a total amount exceeding PLN 1 million, was secured.
The prosecutor’s office has applied preventive measures against the suspects in the form of police supervision, combined with a ban on contact with certain persons and a property surety in an amount of PLN 1 million.
