Asset declarations - work on a new bill
Work on the draft act regulating the issue of submitting asset declarations is being finalized. In the coming weeks, the draft will be submitted to the Coordinator of Special Services, Mr. Tomasz Siemoniak.
The Central Anti-Corruption Bureau, with the support of other special services, is preparing a draft act on asset declarations. The aim of the legal act is to regulate the system of submitting and controlling asset declarations through its unification and digitization. In the coming weeks, the draft will be submitted to the Minister Coordinator for Special Services - Mr. Tomasz Siemoniak.
At the same time, in cooperation with the Ministry of Digital Affairs and the Central Information Technology Center, the CBA is working on the assumptions of an IT system that will enable the submission of asset declarations electronically. Thanks to its interoperability and the possibility of reusing data, the system is to provide citizen-friendly services.
The CBA will soon also make available on the website https://oswiadczeniamajatkowe.cba.gov.pl/ a tab entitled "Act on Asset Declarations". It will contain the assumptions of the draft act, as well as current information on the course of the legislative process.
The issue of regulating the asset declaration system in Poland was discussed during a conference organized on 9-10th December 2024 by the Head of the CBA, Ms. Agnieszka Kwiatkowska-Gurdak. Experts from Poland and abroad shared their knowledge and experience in the field of optimal legal and IT solutions. The conference also began the stage of broader consultations on the proposed provisions of the new act, including with the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), public institutions and representatives of the civil society.
