Further allegations regarding Collegium Humanum
Officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau detained the former press spokesman of the President of the Republic of Poland. This is another implementation in a multi-threaded investigation into irregularities in the activities of the Collegium Humanum university. The investigation is supervised by the Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice.
On 6th February 2025, officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Rzeszów detained Błażej S., the former press spokesman of the President of the Republic of Poland. The findings of the investigation indicate that Błażej S. and his wife Sandra S. used certificates of completion of postgraduate studies „Executive Master of Business Administration” without actually completing them. The certificates enabled them to sit on supervisory boards of State Treasury companies.
Financial and personal benefits
The Prosecutor of the Silesian Branch of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Katowice presented Błażej S. with four charges concerning the provision of financial and personal benefits. The financial benefits concerned payments to the account of the Collegium Humanum university in exchange for obtaining forged documents in the form of a certificate of completion of postgraduate MBA studies.
The man provided personal benefits in the form of a promise to support Paweł Cz.'s candidacy for a member of the National Development Council of the President of the Republic of Poland and to help in obtaining a state decoration, as well as support for the accreditation of running a branch of the university in Uzbekistan.
In the case of Sandra S., the Prosecutor presented three charges, which concerned, among others, using forged documents in the form of a certificate of completion of postgraduate studies when applying for employment and defrauding undue remuneration related to sitting on supervisory boards.
Preventive measures
The suspects provided explanations. The prosecutor applied non-custodial preventive measures against them, including property surety in the amount of PLN 100,000 and PLN 40,000 respectively, police supervision and a ban on contact with specific individuals.
The case remains ongoing
58 people have been charged so far in the entire multi-threaded investigation conducted by CBA officers, including over 30 people in the thread concerning irregularities in the activities of the former Collegium Humanum university.
