Officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau Regional Office in Gdańsk secured documentation related to the case of subsidies for shipowners. The activities were carried out at the request of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk.
On 11 March 2025, officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau Regional Office in Gdańsk carried out activities at the Gdańsk Regional Board of NSZZ Solidarność and at the Inter-Enterprise Commission of NSZZ Solidarność Workers of the Baltic Sea based in Reda.
As a result of these activities, documents and electronic data carriers were secured. The secured documents and items will be analyzed and examined by experts in order to disclose data relevant to the ongoing investigation.
The preparatory proceedings are being conducted on the basis of a notification submitted by one of the fishing associations. The notification concerned the suspicion of committing a crime consisting in demanding a material benefit of great value in exchange for granting shipowners a subsidy to end their activities related to sea fishing in the Baltic Sea and invoking influence in a state institution.
