Another Person Detained in the Bid-Rigging Case to the Detriment of the Military
Officers of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau have detained an employee of the Wrocław branch of the Military Technical Supervision Authority. The operation was carried out on the order of the prosecutor from the 8th Military Division of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków. This is another development in the ongoing investigation into bid-rigging and actions detrimental to the economic interests of the military.
On 21 July 2025, CBA officers from the Regional Office of the CBA in Kraków detained an employee of the Military Technical Supervision of Wrocław delegation in the Lower Silesian Voivodeship. As a result of a search, electronic documents were among the items secured.
Bid-Rigging
The Regional Office of the CBA in Kraków is conducting an investigation under the supervision of the 8th Military Division of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Kraków regarding the crime of bid-rigging, offering financial benefits, and actions detrimental to the economic interests of the state. The investigation was initiated based on intelligence gathered by the Military Counterintelligence Service. The findings indicate that several business owners conspired to unlawfully influence the outcomes of tender procedures for financial gain. The tenders concerned services related to the operation of liquid fuel infrastructure and MPS (fuel equipment) for military units.
Charges and Preventive Measures
The detained employee has been charged with official corruption. The prosecutor imposed non-custodial preventive measures, including bail set at 15,000 PLN, police supervision, and a ban on contacting certain individuals involved in the case.
Investigation Progress
This is the third operation in the ongoing pre-trial proceedings. A total of 92 charges have been brought against 12 suspects. Further procedural actions are planned.
