Military Procurement Under Investigators’ Scrutiny

In an investigation conducted by the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw, a man was detained on suspicion of repeatedly demanding financial benefits. The proceedings concern public procurement contracts carried out in 2022–2023 at a military unit located in Wrocław. The investigation is supervised by the District Prosecutor’s Office for Wrocław–Fabryczna.

On 16 December 2025, soldiers of the Military Gendarmerie, acting jointly with officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw, detained an employee of a logistics unit of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Poland in Wrocław. During the operation, officers secured documentation related to public procurement, mobile phones, and other data storage devices. The activities were carried out at the suspect’s place of residence and workplace.

Acceptance of Financial Benefits in Connection with Holding a Public Office

The findings of the investigation indicate that an employee of the military economic branch of the Armed Forces repeatedly demanded financial benefits in a predetermined amount in connection with holding a public office. These demands were directed at an entrepreneur who was performing public procurement contracts for the Armed Forces.

Charges and Preventive Measures

The detained individual was brought to the District Prosecutor’s Office for Wrocław–Fabryczna, where he was charged with demanding a financial benefit. Preventive measures were applied against the suspect, including a financial surety, police supervision, a ban on contacting specified individuals, and suspension from official duties.

The Investigation Is Ongoing

The preparatory proceedings are being conducted jointly with the Military Gendarmerie in Wrocław. This is the first operational action in the ongoing investigation. The case is of a developmental nature, and further procedural activities are planned.
