We are investigating a case of a purchase of fire trucks in Wielkopolska Voivodeship
More than 16 million PLN cost fire and rescue trucks, which were supposed to be handed to fire-stations (Volunteer Fire Department). Deadlines have passed, fire trucks are not there, the money was paid. The State Treasury has been exposed to the detriment of considerable size and control was lost over the implementation of orders.
The investigation under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań concerning the case of causing significant financial damage to public property disposed by the Voivodeship Department of Association of Volunteer Fire Departments of the Republic of Poland of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship and submission of false documentation regarding the implementation of public procurement is conducted by the Regional Office of the CBA in Poznań based on our own findings.
To the Wielkopolska fire-stations (VFD) were supposed to be handed fire and rescue cars - 20 small and 15 medium-sized cars. Although the delivery date has passed and no cars were made or delivered, then yet approx. 3 million zł payment - for allegedly already realized order - has been paid. As a result of the activities and findings of the CBA, the Marshal's Office could withhold the 13 million zł payment.
The State Treasury has been exposed to the detriment of substantial size, control was lost over the execution of orders and the possibility of imposing on contractors contractual financial penalties for failure to meet deadlines.
Agents of the Regional Office of the CBA in Poznań searched and seized documents in 35 fire stations (VFD) of Wielkopolska , to which were supposed to get specialized cars. Documentation for this order was secured in co-organizing and financing institutions of the purchase of vehicles in Office of the Marshal of the Wielkopolska Voivodeship, the Regional Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management in Poznań, the Board of Executive Division of the VFD Association in Poznań, as well as in companies involved in the production of specialized fire trucks.
This is the initial stage of investigation of the CBA, the case is ongoing.
