The Regional Office of the CBA in Gdańsk under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk conducts a proceeding against the lawyer Artur N. and the prosecutor of the District Prosecutor's Office in Koszalin, Karol K., who have been charged with mediating a deal and exceeding the prosecutor's powers which aimed at gaining favorable process decisions by the suspects in several preparatory proceedings, in exchange for financial benefits.

Materials in case were obtained thanks to activities of the CBA officers from the Regional Office in Gdańsk. According to the materials, the attorney Artur N. mediated in settling issues in the preparatory proceedings conducted by prosecutor Karol N. Using his private relation with the prosecutor, he illegally obtained information from the proceedings, in return for what he received financial benefits in the amount of not less than 89 000 PLN and 3 000 EUR.

On the basis of materials collected by the Regional Office of the CBA in Gdańsk, the charges against the suspects were supplemented - against the lawyer from West Pomeranian Region and the prosecutor from District Prosecutor's Office in Koszalin.

The suspect, Artur N. was pressed with another charge - in order to gain financial benefit, he claimed to have influences at the Koszalin District Prosecutor's Office, and he also hindered the criminal proceedings to gain a favorable outcome for one of the suspects. The prosecutor Karol K. got further allegations of abuse of powers, impediment of criminal proceedings, unlawful disclosure of proceedings and planned actions. The events covered by this allegation took place in 2013. In the case already 5 charges have been pressed.
