Further information concerning the detentions in investigation on corruption acts by a Senator
Officers from the Regional Office of the CBA in Wrocław detained two more people in the investigation concerning, among others, the former senator of the Rzeczpospolita Polska VIII term of office Józef P. and Jarosław W. – assistant of the senator. The case is related to corruption.
Already before, the CBA agents have detained twelve people, including the former Senator Józef P. and Jaroslaw W. - assistant of the Senator, who impersonated to be the director of the Senate office. Detentions are the result of proceeding conducted since 2015 by the Central Anticorruption Bureau, commissioned by the Poznań Appellate Prosecutor's Office. Later the investigation was entrusted by the External Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Poznań - to be conducted in whole by the CBA.
Detainees will be transported to the prosecutor's office, where they will hear allegations of criminal offenses - giving financial benefits.
