Charges against a person from district office
Officers from Regional Office of the CBA in Rzeszów detained a member of board of the Ropczyce-Sędziszów district, an official from the road division in the district office and an entrepreneur from the county area.
Regional Office of the CBA in Rzeszów is conducting an investigation under the supervision of the Terrain Division of the Department for Organized Crime and Corruption of the National Prosecutor's Office in Rzeszów on overruns and failures to perform duties in order to obtain financial benefits by persons performing public functions in the local government of the Ropczyce-Sędziszów county.
In March this year CBA agents have secured a number of documents, among others, in the headquarters of the district office. By completing the next stage of the case, CBA agents have detained 5 people, inter alia, Dorota S. - member of the Ropczycko-Sędziszowski county board, an official from the County Roads Division in the district office and an entrepreneur from the county area.
The findings in the investigation of the Rzeszów Regional Office of the CBA indicate, that last year Dorota S. chose a company that dealt with the planting of greenery in the county in violation of the law. The work began even before formal selection of the contractor and the approval for this order by the county board.
The prosecutor presented the detained Dorota S. charges of obstruction of duty and applied preventive measures in the form of: police supervision, 30 thousand zł bail and suspension in activities performance connected with public function.
