20.11.2017 European Partners Against Corruption EPAC / EACN - conference

On 13-17 November 2017, the Deputy Head of the Central Anticorruption Bureau Dr. Grzegorz Ocieczek - assistant professor of the Cardinal Wyszyński University in Warsaw (UKSW) took part in the 17th EPAC / EACN Annual Professional Conference   (European Partners Against Corruption / European Contact-Point Network Against Corruption).

The main topic of this international meeting is fight against corruption and the supervision over the law enforcement agencies, building and maintenance of mutual relations between theoreticians and practitioners in the scope of fight against corruption in the public administration as well as among law enforcement agencies. The idea behind the conference is to draw attention to the threats, as well as new and effective solutions in this area.

About 160 participants took part in the conference. At this year's meeting in a panel discussion a representative of the CBA's department gave a speech and presentation.

The European Partners Against Corruption (EPAC), established in 2004, brings together over 60 anti-corruption institutions. Based on the EPAC in 2008, the European Contact-Point Network Against Corruption (EACN) was established as a link between the anti-corruption network, which brings together nearly 60 state structures from the EU Member States. The EPAC / EACN initiative has become an annual effort to raise awareness in the scope of anticorruption among the representatives of the European Union Member States.

The Central Anticorruption Bureau was affiliated to the EPAC in 2007.
