More detainees in the case of producer group from Wrocław
Agents from the Wrocław CBA detained another two persons in the investigation related to the activity of the producer group "Dolnośląskie Vegetables". The crime was to extort domestic subsidies and European Union funds for the construction of a vegetable repositories.
CBA officers from Wrocław detained the former president and former signing clerk of one of the Katowice companies. The case involves a multi-million dollar investment extortion investigation.
Investigative findings show, that the detainees have led credence to financial flows of the producer group, so that it could obtain grants for the construction and furnishing of the vegetable repositories.
The scope of the preparatory proceedings covered the activities of an organized criminal group. Its members, based on unreliable and inaccurate financial documentation, inflated the value of the works and purchases of equipment and machinery realized for the aforementioned construction. Thus, the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture in Wrocław, as the aggrieved party, was brought to an unfavorable spending of more than 50 million zlotys. Money was subsidies that compensated for the costs of agricultural investment. 75% of its value was European Union funds. The remaining funds were national and remained at the disposal of the Regional Delegation of ARiMR in Wrocław. Criminal activity also resulted in significant VAT depletion, over 6 million PLN. The investigation includes eleven suspects.
