The CBA detains in the act of taking a bribe a county councilor from Lower Silesia and a businessman
The officers of the CBA Regional Office in Białystok, caught red-handed while accepting a bribe a councilman from the Milicz poviat council and a businessman, a former Lower Silesian local government official, currently dealing with consulting. The detention took place in a five-star hotel in Wrocław, just after men took bribes of 20,000 zlotys - this amount was the first installment of the185,000 PLN they demanded. For this money, they were to sell a built-up real estate belonging to the Milicz poviat at a reduced price, at the same time preventing it from being sold to other potential bidders.
After these detentions, the CBA agents searched the places of residence of the councilor and businessman and secured documentation regarding tender proceedings at the Poviat Starosty in Milicz.
The detainees were transferred to the District Prosecutor's Office in Wrocław, where they were charged. Activities are ongoing.
