Rigged tenders for garbage trucks - subsequent detentions

The investigation concerning rigged tender procedures - bid rigging in municipal companies in favor of one of the Wrocław companies goes further. The CBA agents from Łódź detained two employees of the municipal company from Koszalin. This is already 8 suspects in the case.

The Regional Office of the Central Anticorruption Bureau in Łódź, under the supervision of the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Łódź, is investigating the procedure for rigged tenders - bid rigging in municipal companies in favor of one of Wrocław's companies. Investigators from the Central Anticorruption Bureau determined, that representatives of the Wrocław company had entered into agreement with local government officials and employees of local government companies in connection with announced in 2016 tenders for deliveries of municipal garbage trucks - worth over PLN 2.5 million.

The agents of the CBA from Łódź had previously detained the president and trader from a Wrocław company dealing with delivery of specialized trucks, the president of the Municipal Complex of Municipal Services in Koło, a former president of this company and an employee of the Municipal Cleansing Complex in Pruszków and the Mayor of the City of Koło.

The findings of the CBA and the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Łódź indicate that the tender was also rigged in Koszalin. Today, the CBA agents from Łódź detained the Deputy Head of PGK in Koszalin and an employee from this company.

The CBA agents are securing documents in a municipal company and are searching the apartments of the detainees. Detainees will hear charges in the prosecutor's office.
