Former vice-mayor of Bogatynia, supervision inspector and investment contractor detained
The Regional Office of the CBA in Wrocław conducts under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra an investigation on failure to fulfill duties by the City and Commune Office of Bogatynia on the reconstruction of the sewage system, water supply network and reconstruction of roads and sidewalks in Porajów destroyed during intense rainfall in June 2013. These actions were to take place in the second half of 2015.
According to the findings of the proceedings, the lack of proper supervision of the external company appointed for investor's supervision led to errors in construction - the use of materials inconsistent with the project and exceeding the deadline for completion of the investment. This could have an impact on the possibility of losing 2.8 million PLN in subsidies granted to this construction by the Lower Silesian Provincial Office.
The CBA agents detained Dominik M. - until recently deputy mayor of Bogatynia City and Commune, inspector of investment supervision and contractor of the investment. The detentions took place in the area of Bogatynia, Zgorzelec and Lubań poviat.
Detainees caught by the CBA will be brought to the District Prosecutor's Office in Jelenia Góra, where they will hear charges of, among others, failure to comply with obligations, falsification of documents and fraud in relation to property of considerable value.
