Another detention in the investigation into extorting of property of great value to the detriment of PKP S.A.
The agents of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw detained another suspect in the case of causing significant property damage to PKP S.A. company (Polish National Railways) by concluding in May 2016 by the railway company with one of the Warsaw company adverse agreement amounting to 1 900 000 zł net. The contract concerned the implementation of prevention in the field of bomb terrorism threats as part of preparations for the World Youth Day. The investigation is conducted by the CBA Regional Office in Warsaw, under the supervision of the Praga District Prosecutor's Office in Warsaw.
The CBA agents detained today - by the order of prosecutor's office - the company's proxy, who was both counterparty and also a sub-contractor of the S. company as part of the implementation for PKP S.A. of an agreement on the so-called security of railway stations. The CBA agents searched the detainee's house near Warsaw. The detainee will be charged in the prosecutor's office.
In March last year, the agents of the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw detained five suspects in this case: the director of the Security Bureau of PKP S.A., the owner of the Warsaw-based S. contracting company, officer of the Government Protection Bureau, president of another company from the business protection industry and employee of PKP S.A. The investigation into the agreement between PKP and S. company has also led to pressing charges against three contemporary members of the PKP S.A. board and the former president of the railway company in March 2017.
