The CBA agents detained an employee of the Water Supply and Sewerage Plant in Kłodawa (ZWiK). The findings of the CBA show that the director of the Water Supply and Sewerage Plant in Kłodawa took money for himself for the construction of water and sewage connections to private homes. The detained man, giving a false testimony, tried to protect the suspected director.
The Regional Office of the CBA in Poznań, based on the collected materials, conducts investigation into the overriding of duties and non-performance of duties by the director and employees of the Water Supply and Sewage Plant in Kłodawa and acting to the detriment of public and private interest. The investigation is supervised by the District Prosecutor's Office in Konin.
Earlier, at the end of April this year, the agents of the CBA from Poznań detained the director and two employees of the Sewerage and Water Supply Plant in Kłodawa. The detainees were charged in the prosecutor's office in Konin.
The findings of the CBA show that the director of the Water Supply and Sewerage Plant in Kłodawa took money for himself for the construction of water and sewage connections to private homes. He carried out this business using the position and knowledge of persons applying for the construction of water and sewage connections. The connection works were carried out using the equipment and employees of the Sewerage and Water Supply Plant in Kłodawa managed by him. Invoices were not issued or issued to a company registered to his wife. In the course of the investigation, about 70 victims were identified, from whom he demanded from 1 000 to over 10 000 zł for making connections to their property. This number is still being verified and may increase.
The CBA officers also established that in the course of the investigation itself, the director of ZWiK obstructed the activities carried out by the CBA, urging witnesses to give false testimonies.
By decision of the court, the detained director was taken into custody for three months.
The prosecutor will decide on the further course of the proceeding and preventive measures against the employee of the Kłodawa waterworks detained by the CBA.
