Four persons detained. Over 9 million of undue financing from Agency for Restructuring and Modernisation of Agriculture (ARiMR)

The officers of the CBA from Bydgoszcz conduct an investigation regarding irregularities in spending funds under the operational programme "Sustainable Development of the Fisheries Sector and Coastal Fishing Areas 2007-2013", including the extortion of EU co-funding for fish farming to the detriment of the Pomeranian Regional Office of the Agency for Restructuring and Modernization of Agriculture in Gdynia.

In connection with this case, the CBA agents detained four persons, including the current and two former employees of the Pomeranian Regional Office of ARiMR and an entrepreneur.

In the course of the investigation, materials indicating the suspicion of extorting from ARiMR over 9 million zlotys of financing by an entrepreneur running two fish farms in the Pomeranian Voivodship were collected.

All persons detained by the CBA will be charged in the Prosecutor's Office. One current and two former officials of ARiMR will be charged with deliberate failure to fulfill duties, abuse of powers and making false statements in documents, while detained entrepreneur will hear allegations of fraud and using false documents with the aim of obtaining undue financing.

The proceedings are conducted by the officers of the Regional Office of the CBA in Bydgoszcz at the request of the National Prosecutor's Office in Gdańsk.
