Former senator detained by the CBA
Former senator of the Republic of Poland and at the same time entrepreneur from Płock detained by the CBA. He was charged with i.a., acting in an organised crime group.
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Cracow have detained in Płock an entrepreneur and at the same time former senator of the Republic of Poland. The man was charged in the Prosecutor’s Office with acting in an organised crime group, which in the years 2013 - 2014 swindled nearly 40 million zlotys from the funds of the Polish Agency for Enterprise Development.
The detainee after completing the searches was transferred to the Regional Prosecutor’s Office in Cracow. This is already the 28th person suspected in this case.
The officers of the CBA have also performed coordinated searches in the Mazovian voivodeship, both in the apartments of private persons, as well as in the headquarters of companies related to the case.
The investigation is developmental and further steps to secure evidence and crime proceeds detrimental the State Treasury are not ruled out.
The Prosecutor's Office after submitting the allegations against the suspect addressed a request for arrest.
