Control of the CBA at the office in Strzyżów
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Rzeszów started a control in the Strzyżów City Hall.
The proceedings concern granting to selected natural and legal persons concessions in repayment of arrears of real estate tax and agricultural tax by the Mayor of Strzyżów in 2012-2018.
The subject matter of the control is the analysis of procedures defined by law for verification of submitted requests by natural and legal persons conducting economic activity, through reliable conduct by the authority of tax proceedings on the basis of the act of 29 August 1997 – Tax Ordinance.
As part of the control activities, the officers of the Bureau will check, among others the reasonableness of decisions made in granting concessions in tax arrears, i.e. whether the issued decisions were based on the premises of an "important taxpayer's interest" or "important public interest".
The planned date of completion of the inspection falls on 3 September 2019.
