Corruption at procurements for over PLN 30 million zlotys
Irregularities at tenders for Poczta Polska (Polish Post). Two more persons detained.
The Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw under the supervision of the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office conducts and investigation regarding the implementation of public procurements for Poczta Polska worth over PLN 30 million, in exchange for material benefits accepted by Poczta Polska representatives in the amount of at least PLN 300,000.
In connection with this investigation the officers of the CBA have detained in Gdańsk two more persons – a president of a company from Gdańsk dealing with delivery of IT services and solutions, as well as a person associated with the operation of a Warsaw IT company.
At the moment, the places of residence of the detainees are being searched.
Until now, 11 persons have been detained in connection with the investigation, including 5 employees of Poczta Polska, among them Director at the Financial Service Center/Deputy Director of the Management Board Office, Deputy Managing Director at the IT and Telecommunications Division for IT Development, chief architect, as well as business and family related persons with detained representatives of Poczta, as well as representatives of the Warsaw IT company.
The case is multi-threaded and developmental. Further detentions are planned.
