Representatives of the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine paid a visit at the CBA

Exchange of experience and best practices on combating corruption and the scope of potential cooperation were the main subjects of talks during the visit of delegation from the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (DBR) at the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

On September 17th–18th, 2019, a high-level delegation from the State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine (DBR) has visited Poland. Important part of the visit constituted discussions held at the headquarters of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau.

During the meeting, the Head of the CBA Ernest Bejda and the First Deputy Director of the DBR Olha Varchenko, presented the tasks and competences of both agencies, as well as the results of activities performed by both bureaus. The Heads of both institutions showed their interest in continuation of a constructive dialogue and decided to establish closer cooperation.

The State Bureau of Investigation of Ukraine is an newly created law enforcement agency established to prosecute crimes committed by high-level officials. Crimes committed by judges, prosecutors, law enforcement officers and military crimes also fall clearly within the jurisdiction of the DBR.
