Treasurer of the Lesznowola Municipality detained by the Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw
Almost PLN 4 million in damage to the property of the Lesznowola Municipality. Another thread in the investigation regarding the exceeding of powers and failure to comply with obligations. This time the CBA detained the municipality’s treasurer.
The officers of the Regional Office of the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau in Warsaw have detained the treasurer of the Lesznowola Municipality. The findings of the investigators indicate that the official - who in 2012-2015 unreasonably redeemed tax receivables to a number of related companies in order to achieve a material benefit in the amount of approximately PLN 2.7 million - exceeded her powers.
The detained treasurer was transferred to the District Prosecutor’s Office in Warsaw, where she was charged.
The Regional Office of the CBA in Warsaw conducts the investigation regarding abuse of powers and failure to fulfill duties by the voght of Lesznowola Municipality, who was detained by the CBA in July this year. The investigation was initiated based on the materials collected by the CBA in the course of a control conducted by the Control Proceedings Department.
